Visual Arts 〰️
Our space was born for arts.
We welcome artists of different backgrounds, countries, and stories. As curators, we want to celebrate Folkestone-based artists of international prominence. With our growing school outreach programme we want to support young artists in the developing years of their journey.
Our 2025 programme includes work from Terry Perk, Chelsey Browne, Vanessa Winship, Rubiane Maia, Navied Mahdavian, Tapped In, and Canterbury and Folkestone Colleges.
The Green Room was home to “The Photo-Diaries of Mick Williamson” exhibition with the screening of a documentary about Folkestone-based photographer Mick Williamson.
kollectiv presented the solo show “Seven Ages of Woman” by Folkestone-based photographer Mayotte Magnus whose images of 100 prominent British women was commissioned by the NPG in 1977.
We were the hub of Open Art Folke - the first fully artist-led festival bringing together artists from Creative Quarter and beyond.
Upstairs at kollectiv, local artists find space to show their work at monthly-changing Artist of the Month wall.
