kollectiv Film Club - Dropouts (2025)

£6.00

DROPOUTS is a collaborative project by kollectiv's Ash Luetchford that shines a light on Folkestone’s homegrown talent, offering recognition and pride in the face of homelessness, addiction, and stigma - forces that continue to push young artists to the margins. From hip-hop, graffiti and skating to tattooing, metal and drag, DROPOUTS celebrates the unruly bunch who fuel the creative underbelly of a place known as both a Music Town and an Art School.

Since the project began, many of the original collaborators and interviewees have passed away. This film stands as a tribute to them and as a message to their grieving friends to keep creating and supporting one another in their small seaside town.

The film is dedicated to Freddie, Em, Jordan, Louis, Maizie, Sophie, and Max.

After the film, Ash and Sid Spong - and others involved in the project - will be in conversation with Adam Jeanes.
