The next kollectiv Film Club is on next Friday night - the 10th - at 6:30. We are delighted to be showing - courtesy of Creative Folkestone - a film commissioned for the first Triennial in 2008. Everyone knows the iconic letters spelling our FOLKESTONE that are now very much a key identifier of not just the Harbour Arm but the town itself. I expect that many people may not know that Patrick Tuttofucco was the artist behind the letters and fewer still will know they was part of broader project that included the film 'Folkestone Express', which Patrick made with filmmaker Mattia Matteucci. This is what we are going to show on the 10th. The video is a day by day documentation of the journey Patrick took from Istanbul to Folkestone which is the core of the project Jo Cowdrey, Head of Curatorial, has kindly agreed to introduce the film and lead the post-film discussion.
