The New Yorker cartoonist and award-winning graphic novel author, Navied Mahdavian (“This Country: Searching for Home in a (Very) Rural America”) will teach you everything he knows about single-panel, New Yorker style gag cartoon.
Take a journey as Navied leads you through generating ideas (this is the fun part), and drawing your best ones (ok, this is the fun part, too).
You’ll see behind the scenes, sketches and notes, and Navied will take you on a tour of his favourite historical cartoons as well.
Open to all. No previous experience required.
Free for the Folkestone Illustration Festival pass owners.
